Škoda Auto India on Friday announced the comeback of the all-new Octavia RS available in limited numbers as a fully-built unit (FBU) at ₹49,99,000, as it marked 25 years in the country.

Originally launched in India in 2001, the Octavia set the tone for Škoda’s driver-focused identity. The RS variant first arrived in 2004 as the country’s first turbocharged petrol passenger car. Its return underscores Škoda’s commitment to performance, innovation, and enduring appeal among Indian car enthusiasts.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said, “As we celebrate 25 years in India, our commitment to delivering world-class cars remains stronger than ever. The RS badge represents more than performance — it symbolises the emotional connection and trust our customers have in Škoda”.

The car showcases the company’s bold design language with full LED Matrix headlights, LED tail lamps with dynamic indicators, and glossy black accents. It rides on 19-inch Elias anthracite alloy wheels with low-profile tyres and offers a 600-litre boot, expandable to 1,555 litres. It is available in five colours – Mamba Green, Candy White, Race Blue, Magic Black, and Velvet Red.

The Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0 TSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 195 kW and 370 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The sedan accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, with a top speed limited to 250 km/h. Advanced chassis tuning, sports suspension, and progressive steering deliver precise handling and dynamic driving performance.

Features

The cabin features Suedia/Leather upholstery with red contrast stitching, sports front seats with electric adjust, memory, heating, and massage functions, ambient lighting, and a virtual cockpit. A 32.77cm infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while three-zone climate control and wireless charging enhance convenience.

The Octavia RS is equipped with Škoda’s latest ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Assist, and Intelligent Park Assist. Safety features include 10 airbags, 360-degree camera, ISOFIX mounts, Head-Up Display, and driving stability systems. A premium Canton 675W 11-speaker sound system, electrically operated boot, and Simply Clever features add to the premium experience.
