The performance of the Cyberster has helped MG’s luxury retail channel, MG SELECT, secure the second position in India’s luxury electric vehicle (EV) segment within six months of its debut.
Milind Shah, head of MG SELECT at JSW MG Motor India, said that 2025 marked the brand’s entry into India’s luxury EV space, with a focus on building credibility through differentiated products and customer experiences. He added that the company plans to further strengthen its luxury EV ecosystem in 2026.
The company said that demand for the Cyberster reflects growing consumer interest in premium electric mobility. MG recently introduced a new bespoke exterior shade, Irises Cyan, for the model, aimed at strengthening its appeal in the high-end sports car category.
Alongside the Cyberster, MG’s electric luxury MPV M9 has also gained traction in the chauffeur-driven segment, contributing to MG SELECT’s positioning in the upper end of the EV market.
MG SELECT has expanded its presence to 15 experience centres across major Indian cities and has partnered with premium lifestyle brands to enhance customer engagement and ownership experience.
