Mercedes-Benz India has expanded its iconic G-Class portfolio with the launch of the all-new G 450d. The vehicle is priced starting at ₹2.90 crore ex-showroom, with only 50 units initially allocated to select customers.

Mercedes-Benz India is offering the G 450d with exclusive MANUFAKTUR customisation options, including unique upholstery and paint finishes. To celebrate the launch, Mercedes-Benz will also begin the ‘G-Tribe Escapades’ — a luxury SUV drive experience across India and Bhutan for select patrons.

Performance and Off-Road Capability

The G 450d is powered by an all-new 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder diesel engine delivering 270 kW of power and 750 Nm of torque, combined with 48V mild hybrid technology that adds an extra 15 kW of assist. This enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.8 seconds, with a top speed of 210 kmph.

The vehicle upholds the G-Class’s legendary off-road capabilities with features such as three mechanical differential locks, high ground clearance of at least 241 mm, and a maximum fording depth of 70 cm.

“The new G 450d underlines our commitment to offer diesel, petrol and electric powertrain options for the first time in India for the G-Class, the longest running nameplate in the automotive industry,” said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.

Luxury and Technology Inside

Inside, the G 450d is adorned with luxurious two-tone Nappa leather upholstery, a Burmester 3D surround sound system with Dolby Atmos, and a customisable ambient lighting package.

The latest MBUX NTG7 infotainment system offers seamless connectivity with augmented reality navigation, wireless smartphone integration, and intuitive touch controls. The new off-road cockpit provides easy access to essential off-road functions, reinforcing the SUV’s adventurous spirit.
