Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the all-new GLC with EQ Technology at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich, introducing a model that represents the next phase of its electric mobility and design evolution. It is the first series-production Mercedes to fully embody the brand’s refined “Sensual Purity” design language.

The new GLC features a reimagined grille that defines Mercedes-Benz’s updated identity, while the cabin has been designed as a seamless blend of flowing forms, advanced digital interfaces and personalised comfort, Economic Times reports.

At the centre of this transformation is the debut of the MBUX Hyperscreen, the largest display ever fitted to a Mercedes vehicle. Stretching 99.3 cm (39.1 inches) from pillar to pillar, the screen uses matrix backlight technology with over 1,000 LEDs and introduces a patent-pending “zone dimming” feature. This enables different sections of the screen to be adjusted independently, ensuring critical data remains visible without distracting the driver.

Design

The sculptural interior design integrates the instrument panel and centre console into one sweeping surface illuminated by ambient lighting. Other features include dual wireless charging trays, a redesigned hard-key control strip, cupholders, galvanised air vents, metallic speaker grilles and minimalist leather seating.

Mercedes has also introduced digital “ambient styles” that sync with the instrument cluster and lighting to create customisable moods such as calm, cool or warm. Climate controls are linked with ambient lighting, which shifts colour in response to adjustments.

The system is powered by the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), bringing enhanced connectivity and personalisation to the premium SUV.

With the new GLC, Mercedes-Benz is signalling its intent to merge bold design with cutting-edge digital innovation as it accelerates its EQ electric strategy.
