Lexus India records strong 2025 sales on rising demand for LM, LX models

Lexus India ended 2025 on a strong note, led by rising demand for its ultra-luxury models LM and LX, which together recorded a 50 per cent year-on-year growth and accounted for about 19 per cent of the brand’s total sales during the year.

The luxury carmaker said sustained customer interest in its flagship offerings continued through the year, reflecting a growing preference for high-end mobility solutions in the Indian market. The LM and LX sit at the top end of Lexus’ India portfolio and cater to customers seeking premium chauffeur-driven and luxury SUV experiences.

Product-wise performance

The RX SUV also emerged as a key volume driver for the company, registering an 18 per cent growth in CY25 compared with the previous year. The model contributed around 22 per cent to Lexus India’s overall sales, underlining its importance in expanding the brand’s presence in the luxury SUV segment. Lexus said the LM 350h has seen strong acceptance since its introduction in India, supported by demand from customers seeking luxury-focused mobility solutions. Meanwhile, the LX 500d continued to attract buyers looking for a combination of luxury and off-road capability, contributing to the brand’s performance in the ultra-luxury SUV space.

Hikaru Ikeuchi, president, Lexus India, said the strong growth in flagship models reflected increasing customer confidence in the brand. He added that the company remains optimistic about the outlook for the luxury vehicle market in India as it enters 2026.
