Kia India reported total domestic sales of 27,603 units in January 2026, registering a 10.3 per cent year-on-year growth compared with 25,025 units in January 2025, supported by steady demand across its SUV and MPV portfolio.

The automaker said the positive start to calendar year 2026 was driven by strong market response to the new-generation Seltos, sustained demand for the Sonet, and growing traction for the Carens Clavis and Clavis EV.

The Seltos continued to play a key role in Kia India’s growth strategy in the mid-size SUV segment, while the Sonet reinforced the brand’s position in the high-volume compact SUV category. Meanwhile, the Carens line-up strengthened Kia’s presence in the recreation vehicle and electric mobility segments, reflecting rising consumer preference for versatile and future-ready mobility solutions.

Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, Kia India, said the encouraging start to 2026 reflects sustained customer trust in the brand. He noted that the strong response to the new-generation Seltos, steady demand for the Sonet and growing popularity of the Carens Clavis and Clavis EV underline the strength and balance of Kia’s portfolio.

Kia India said its focus on design, technology and safety continues to differentiate its product range, with advanced connectivity and driver-assistance features across key models. The company also highlighted the growing relevance of its Made-in-India electric vehicle, the Clavis EV, in its long-term product strategy.
