Kia CarensKia India on Tuesday said its Carens family has crossed 3 lakh cumulative sales in the country, driven by strong demand for petrol variants and growing customer preference for premium features and multiple powertrain options.
The automaker said petrol variants account for 60 per cent of cumulative Carens sales, followed by diesel at 30 per cent and the recently launched Carens Clavis EV at 10 per cent.
Top-end variants contribute 18 per cent of total sales, reflecting rising demand for advanced safety, connected technologies and premium comfort features.
Expanding the Carens portfolio
Commenting on the milestone, Sunhack Park, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said the achievement reinforces the Carens’ position in the MPV segment and reflects the company’s focus on product quality, customer needs and feature-led differentiation. Kia recently expanded the lineup with the Carens Clavis EV, available in six- and seven-seat configurations. The electric MPV is offered with 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery packs, delivering a claimed driving range of up to 490 km, and supports DC fast charging from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 39 minutes.
The company said its multi-powertrain strategy, which spans petrol, diesel and electric options, along with regular feature upgrades, has helped the Carens family remain competitive.
