JSW MG Motor India on Friday unveiled the new full-size SUV, the MG Majestor, marking its entry into the D+ segment and replacing the MG Gloster in its India portfolio.

The Majestor, which was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, will rival models such as the Toyota Fortuner in the premium full-size SUV space. Pre-bookings have opened at ₹41,000, while pricing will be announced closer to launch. Showroom displays and test drives are scheduled to begin in April 2026, with deliveries from May 2026.

Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, JSW MG Motor India, said, With MG Majestor, we have created an SUV that is rugged in its capability, refined in its comfort, and dependable in its engineering. Majestor for us represents our vision of what a true, full-size SUV should stand for, which is a commanding presence, sophisticated premium craftsmanship, intelligent in technology, and uncompromising in performance.”

Features

Built on a 2,950 mm wheelbase, the Majestor measures 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width and 1,870 mm in height. The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It will be offered in both 2WD and 4WD configurations.

The model features an advanced 4WD system with 10 off-road modes, along with front, rear and centre differential locks — a first in the segment — as well as crawl control mode. It offers 219 mm ground clearance and a water-wading capacity of 810 mm.

Inside, the Majestor comes in six- and seven-seater layouts and features dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker JBL audio system, three-zone climate control, ventilated and massage front seats with memory function, and a panoramic sunroof.

On safety, the SUV is equipped with Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), along with electronic stability programme, traction control system, roll movement intervention and a 360-degree camera.

The company is offering the Majestor under its 5-5-5 ownership programme, comprising a five-year unlimited kilometre warranty, five-year roadside assistance and five labour-free services.
