JSW MG Motor India on Monday reported a 66 per cent year-on-year growth in its electric vehicle (EV) sales to 62,591 units in FY26, compared to 37,730 units in FY25.

In March, the company sold 6,528 EV units, marking a 19 per cent increase over the year-ago period, it said in a statement.

The automaker said the MG Windsor continued to drive the growth momentum, posting a 20 per cent year-on-year rise in March sales. The company claimed that the Windsor remains India’s top-selling EV.

JSW MG Motor India also highlighted a growing demand for EVs beyond metropolitan markets. According to the company, 70 per cent of Windsor sales came from non-metro cities, reflecting a shift in consumer preference towards electric mobility in smaller towns.

The strong traction in non-metro regions underlines the widening adoption of EVs across India, supported by improving charging infrastructure and increasing consumer interest in electrified models.
