Hyundai Motor Company has entered into a global partnership with the International Cricket Council (ICC), becoming a premier partner for ICC tournaments scheduled between 2026 and 2027, including the Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027.

Under the agreement, Hyundai Motor will receive exclusive marketing and activation rights across ICC’s international cricket calendar. These include visibility during key match moments such as the coin toss, prominent in-stadium branding, and fan engagement initiatives designed to enhance the matchday experience.

The partnership marks Hyundai’s return to ICC events after its earlier association with the global cricket body between 2011 and 2015. The company said the collaboration aligns with its strategy to connect with large, culturally significant audiences through sport, particularly in markets such as India, where cricket commands widespread following.

José Muñoz, President and CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, said cricket’s global appeal and strong resonance in India make it a strategic platform for the brand to deepen engagement with customers and communities.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah said Hyundai’s entry as a Premier Partner strengthens the council’s commercial partnerships for upcoming events.

As part of the association, Hyundai Motor plans to roll out interactive fan zones, vehicle displays and digital engagement initiatives at ICC events, aimed at increasing brand visibility and fan participation. The tournaments under the partnership will be hosted across multiple cricket-playing nations and formats of the game.

Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO-designate of Hyundai Motor India, said the partnership reflects the growing importance of India in Hyundai’s global operations.
