Honda Cars India and Jeep India on Tuesday announced significant price reductions across their portfolios, passing on the benefits of the upcoming Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate rationalisation to customers, according to PTI
Honda said prices of its models will drop by up to ₹95,500 from September 22, 2025. The compact sedan Amaze will see the steepest cut, followed by reductions of ₹57,500 on the City and ₹58,400 on the recently launched Elevate SUV.
Jeep India also confirmed that its models — Compass, Meridian, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee — will become cheaper by ₹1.26 lakh to nearly ₹4.8 lakh, depending on the variant. The revised prices will come into effect nationwide from September 22, coinciding with the GST reform rollout.
The GST Council earlier this month announced a rationalised two-slab structure, slashing tax rates on passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles to boost affordability and demand in the auto sector.>
