BYD India, a subsidiary of the world’s largest new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer, has expanded its retail presence in northern India with the opening of a new showroom in Hisar, Haryana, in partnership with SAMTA BYD, Karnal. This marks the dealer partner’s third BYD outlet in the state.

According to the official press release, the showroom is located on Delhi Road, Hisar. The 2,800 sq ft facility has been designed in line with BYD’s global retail standards and will offer customers an immersive brand experience, from detailed product consultations to test drives of the company’s full EV lineup available in India.

“The opening of our new showroom in Hisar represents more than just an expansion of our retail footprint; it reinforces our long-term vision to accelerate India’s shift towards sustainable mobility,” said Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles Business at BYD India.

With this launch, BYD India’s retail network has grown to 47 showrooms across 40 cities, operated through 18 dealer partners. The expansion underlines the company’s focus on strengthening its footprint across both metropolitan and emerging markets.

Globally, BYD has sold over 14 million NEVs, contributing to a reduction of more than 114.4 billion kilograms of CO2 emissions — equivalent to what nearly 1.9 billion trees would absorb.
