Aamir Khan mourns the demise of Achyut Potdar as he pays heartfelt tribute to his ‘3 Idiots’ co-star: 'We will miss you'

Veteran actor Achyut Potdar, known for ‘3 Idiots,’ passed away at 91 due to heart complications. Aamir Khan paid tribute, calling him “a remarkable actor and kind-hearted person.” Achyut began acting at 44 after serving in the Indian Armed Forces and contributed significantly to Marathi cinema and television.

Aamir Khan expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of veteran actor Achyut Potdar, who died on August 18 at the age of 91. Honoring his co-star from ‘3 Idiots’, Aamir praised Potdar as “a remarkable actor and a truly kind-hearted person” in a tribute released by his production company.Hospital confirms Achyut’s critical condition and deathA doctor from a hospital confirmed Achyut’s passing to PTI. He stated that Achyut was admitted in critical condition around 4 p.m. with respiratory and cardiac problems and was placed in the ICU. He passed away at 10:30 p.m. due to heart complications, suffering from high blood pressure and weakened cardiovascular health.Aamir Khan’s emotional message following Achyut’s deathSoon after the news of Achyut’s demise broke, Aamir, who acted with him in ‘3 Idiots’, conveyed his sorrow in a heartfelt message from his production house. He said, “I am very saddened to hear about Achyutji passing away. He was an amazing actor, a wonderful human being, and a great colleague. We will miss you, Achyutji. My heartfelt condolences to his family.”

Before joining the army, he also worked as a college teacher in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh.
