Prem Chopra health update: Son-in-law Sharman Joshi reveals veteran star was diagnosed with ‘severe Aortic Stenosis’, underwent successful TAVI procedure

Veteran actor Prem Chopra, known for his iconic villain roles in Bollywood, was earlier hospitalised in Mumbai, sparking concern among fans. Weeks later, his son-in-law, actor Sharman Joshi, has shared an encouraging update about the actor’s health.Sharman revealed on Instagram that Prem Chopra was diagnosed with “severe Aortic Stenosis” and successfully underwent a TAVI procedure, a minimally invasive treatment that narrows the aortic valve without open-heart surgery. The actor has reportedly recovered quickly and is now back home, feeling much better.

In his Instagram post, the ‘3 Idiots’ actor wrote, “On behalf of our family, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and admiration for the exemplary treatment my father-in-law Mr. Prem Chopra Ji received from esteemed cardiologists Dr. Nitin Gokhale and interventional cardiologist Dr. Ravinder Singh Rao. Dad was diagnosed with severe Aortic Stenosis, and Dr. Rao successfully performed the TAVI procedure, replacing the valve without open-heart surgery. Dr. Gokhale’s consistent guidance at every step gave us immense confidence. Their expertise ensured a smooth procedure, complication-free treatment and a fast recovery. Dad is now home and feeling much better. We will always be thankful for the exceptional support and care he received.”Sharman also shared a couple of pictures from the hospital showing Prem Chopra looking healthy with his doctors. Veteran star Jeetendra was also seen in the pictures, hinting that he might have visited the actor during his hospital stay.

Fans expressed relief at the news of Prem Chopra’s recovery and sent heartfelt wishes. One fan wrote, “I hope him a speedy recovery and wish to meet Prem sir in person. I’m his FAN since my childhood…”Another added, “Best wishes for good health have seasonal sweet ripe fruits and sun bathing every day for 45 minutes. You’re in great health.” One more said, “That’s nice to hear, hope he gets well soon.” And another fan commented, “May he have a speedy recovery.”
