Ranveer Singh- Aditya Dhar's 'Dhurandhar' storms past USD 1 million mark in North America in less than 2 days

In an electrifying start, Aditya Dhar’s espionage drama ‘Dhurandhar,’ featuring the charismatic Ranveer Singh, has soared past $1 million at the North American box office in just two days. Making history, the film secured a record-breaking opening for Ranveer in India, with an impressive Rs 27 crore on the first day and Rs 33 crore on the second.

Aditya Dhar’s gritty spy action-drama Dhurandhar, led by Ranveer Singh is off to a roaring start at the North American box office. The film, packed with a powerhouse ensemble featuring Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, and Sara Arjun, has quickly converted pre-release buzz into strong theatrical traction. The film has already crossed the coveted USD 1 million mark within just two days.Dhurandhar opened impressively on Day 1 with USD 522,000, signaling clear interest among diaspora audiences.The momentum carried confidently into Day 2, where by early evening the film had already added USD 653,000, pushing its cumulative total past the USD 1 million benchmark. With Saturday evening and night shows yet to clock in their numbers, the film is expected to cross USD 900,000 turning out to be the highest collection on Saturday for any Indian films ever.The early performance suggests that Dhurandhar has struck the right chord with the North American audience, driven by Ranveer Singh’s star power, Aditya Dhar’s reputation for high-impact storytelling after Uri- The Srugical Strike , and the ensemble’s gravitas. The presence of seasoned performers R Madhavan and Akshaye Khanna has widened the film’s appeal across demographics.Back home in India, the film is performing equally strongly. Dhurandhar registered an impressive Rs 27 crore on Day 1, placing it as the highest grossing Day 1 collection Of Ranveer’s career and day 2 also reported strong grwoth with it add Rs 33 crore to it’s tally. With that the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 60 crore as per Sacnilk. The combined impact of strong domestic and overseas collections has turned Dhurandhar into one of the most noteworthy openers for both Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar. The narrative strength, scale of production, and the ensemble cast’s collective presence have clearly resonated with audiences beyond just the core fan base.All eyes now on Sunday and Monday collection as that will decide the fate of the film. The film has been divided into two parts with seocnd installment hitting the theaters on 19th March of 2026 clashing with Yash’s Toxic and Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4
