“This seriously hurt”: The painful ordeal that left YouTuber The Hoof GP shaken and probably off work for the rest of the year

Graeme Parker, widely known on YouTube as The Hoof GP, is currently recovering from two painful hand injuries that happened within just 30 minutes of each other at the end of November. The YouTuber had fans concerned when he posted photos of his blood-covered fingers. On Facebook, he reflected on his injuries on two different fingers and how he has seen better days. What seemed to be a simple hand injury turned serious, as Parker updated fans on visiting A&E, where doctors evaluated potential tendon damage. His difficult ordeal has now forced him to be on a hiatus for the remainder of the year, turning out to be an unexpected setback for the YouTuber, who is keenly known for being a workaholic.

The Hoof GP details how both injuries happened and describes the difficult days following his surgery

In the recent reels that he uploaded on Facebook, Parker explained that the first injury wasn’t caught on camera. He stated that while he was holding a gate with his bare hand, a cow violently kicked his middle finger and “ruptured the sheath of the tendon on the inside of his finger.” However, he wrapped up his finger and continued working. Unfortunately for him, only half an hour later, while filming, he sliced another finger with his knife. He added, “That was actually my second accident because half an hour before that I had been kicked in my middle finger, which had also ruptured the tendon.” The YouTuber compiled all his recent injury-related reels into a proper video on his channel.

It’s been a bad week.

Hoof GP admitted that the pain was unlike anything he had experienced before, saying. “So, usually I’m really good with pain or anything like that, but I’ll be honest, this seriously hurt. And it’s fair to say I was pretty worried about my finger.”The YouTuber was hit with more bad news as the doctors later told him he must stay off work for the rest of the year, a decision he struggled with. “I’m just panicking because they told me I have to be off work for the rest of the year… I don’t want to be off for another day, never mind for the rest of the year.”Days after his surgery, Parker shared with fans another update regarding his injury on Facebook, saying, “I feel like I’ve been hit by a train. I don’t know if it’s morphine coming out of my body.” He described how the injury has caused further damage as he experienced shivering and deep pain, prompting doctors to recheck his wounds for any infection. Lastly, he informed fans of the appointment with his physiotherapist as he continues his healing journey. Parker thanked viewers for their support and said the messages have been “comforting,” though admitting that fans have to wait quite a while for him to return to work full-time.Also read: HasanAbi slams Asmongold for “unrestrained racism” toward Ilhan Omar
