Mohit Chauhan shares AR Rahman uses technology in his music

Mohit Chauhan shares AR Rahman uses technology in his music; 'Itne saalon se woh kaam kar rahe hain, phir bhi'

Mohit Chauhan passionately asserts that the heart of music is rooted in the rawness of human emotion, a complexity that artificial intelligence can scarcely capture. He praises AR Rahman’s ingenious fusion of technology with artistry, noting how his pieces resonate with authentic feeling and eternal charm. Read on to know more.

Singer-composer Mohit Chauhan recently expressed his views on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in music. He stated that the real art is in the human emotion and creative depth, which AI might not be able to achieve. The singer also talked about how music maestro AR Rahman uses technology in his compositions. Let’s learn more about it.

Mohit Chauhan talks about AR Rahman using technology in music

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mohit Chauhan was asked about today’s culture of using AI to create music. He shared, “Dekhiye, agar digital… Ab jaisey Rahman sahaab hai, Rahman sahaab technology ka isteymaal kartey hai. Lekin unka jo human feel hai, unkaa jo melody bananey ka andaaz hai, usmey hamesha ek naya-pan rehta hai (Look, when it comes to digital… Take Rahman sir, for example. Rahman sir uses technology, but the human feel he brings and the way he creates melodies always carry a sense of freshness).”The singer further added, “Itney saalon sey woh kaam kar rahe hai, phir bhi har melody aapki aatma, aapki soul, jo musical feeling hoti hai, usko attract karti hai. Usme ghus jaati hai (He has been working for so many years, yet every melody of his touches your soul, your inner musical feeling. It reaches deep within you).”

Mohit Chauhan says quick fame in music will not survive

The singer added that those who make music in rush, it doesn’t have soul in it He said, “Gaana ek generation tak chalta hai, you know. Toh aise log bahut kam hote hain. Jab jaldbazi mein business ke liye fatafat gaana bana diya jaata hai, toh woh different ho jaata hai; kai baar usme soul nahi rehti. Par log accha kaam bhi kar rahe hain, toh umeed hai accha sangeet sunne ko milta rahega (A song lasts for an entire generation, you know. Very few people can create something like that. When music is made hastily just for business, it turns out differently—many times it lacks soul. But there are people doing good work too, so hopefully we will continue to hear good music).”

Mohit Chauhan’s projects

On the work front, Mohit Chauhan recently lent his voice to the song ‘Chikri Chikri’ from the film ‘Peddi’, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor. The song received a lot of appreciation and love from the audience after its release. Go to Source
