“I Didn’t Fake It”: Kim Kardashian confronts skeptics about 2016 Paris robbery

Nearly a decade after her terrifying Paris robbery, Kim Kardashian returned to the city to testify against the ten people accused of the crime. In a deeply emotional episode of The Kardashians, she addressed lingering skepticism about the heist, including accusations from her ex-husband Kanye West, and reflected on the lasting impact of the night she was tied up and robbed of more than $10 million in jewellery. In the Dec. 4 episode, Kim, 45, spoke candidly about the personal toll of the accusations that she had staged the robbery for television. “My ex-husband had said, ‘And you faked your robbery for a TV show,’ and had said that in front of all these people,” she said in a confessional, her voice breaking. “That was a knife to my heart.” She added, “Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you, that’s so close to you, that should know you, that should know how much that affected your life, it just really bothered me. You don’t know who I am.”West, 48, who was married to Kim at the time of the robbery and divorced in 2021, reportedly cancelled a New York City concert mid-show citing a “family emergency” when he learned of the attack and rushed to Kim’s side upon her return to the United States.Reflecting on the trial itself, Kim described a sense of vindication. The robbery, in which she was tied up, held at gunpoint, and robbed of over $10 million in jewellery, had long been clouded by doubt in some quarters. “To finally be able to go to trial and face these people and hear their accounts and apologies, I’m like, see, guys. It was real,” she said, tears streaming. “I’m happy it’s over.”During the episode, Kim recounted the harrowing moments when the robbers entered her hotel room dressed as police officers in the middle of the night. Dressed only in a robe, she prayed as she feared for her life. “I was sure I was going to be raped,” she said.Going into court in May, Kim remained composed, supported by her mother, Kris Jenner, 70, and childhood friend Simone Harouche, who testified on her behalf. She described her mindset during the nearly six-hour testimony. “This was less than 10 minutes of my life. I’ve lived an amazing life. That’s always given me a little bit of peace, just to know, what was it, 8, 9 minutes, of pure terror and panic aren’t going to ruin me.”After returning to her hotel, she told Kris that the experience had profoundly changed her perspective. “I wanted to say that during the testimony, and I thought my attorneys were gonna kill me,” she admitted. “They’d lose it if I said that. Said, ‘Thank you for doing this to me.’” Go to Source
