Sunny and Bobby to mark Dharmendra’s 90th birthday at farmhouse

Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol to mark Dharmendra’s 90th birthday at farmhouse, fans invited to join

Sunny and Bobby Deol will honour their late father Dharmendra on his 90th birth anniversary at his Khandala farmhouse. The family plans to open the gates for fans to pay tribute. Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24 at 89, was cremated in Mumbai, followed by a memorial attended by Bollywood stars.

Just days before turning 90, Bollywood’s beloved legend Dharmendra bid farewell on November 24. To honour his memory, his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol are set to gather with their families at his Khandala farmhouse. The day will be marked with love and remembrance as they open the doors to fans, giving them a chance to pay tribute to the iconic star’s remarkable journey. The remembrance follows a quiet, private funeral held by the family.

Deol family to open farmhouse gates to fans

According to Hindustan Times, Sunny and Bobby Deol, along with the rest of the family, have decided to transform Dharmendra’s 90th birth anniversary into a tribute to his legacy. The family will visit his farmhouse in Khandala. In fact, the family has decided to open the gates of the farmhouse to the public. While discussing their plans, they realised that many fans wished they had the chance to meet or see Dharmendra one last time. That’s why they’ve decided to open the farmhouse gates for fans who want to come, pay their respects, and meet the family. The family will also meet the fans at the farmhouse.

Preparations underway for the special day

Reportedly, the preparations are already underway, with details and arrangements currently being finalised. It’s not that they’ve organised a special fan event or anything, but they have opened the doors for people who want to come in and honour their father’s legacy. As for arranging transport, they may consider it since the route to the farmhouse isn’t easily accessible to everyone. However, that will depend on how many people plan to attend, which isn’t confirmed yet.

Final rites performed in Haridwar

Early Wednesday, Sunny Deol, his brother Bobby, and Sunny’s son Karan Deol paid their final respects by immersing Dharmendra’s ashes in the sacred waters of the Ganga at Har Ki Pauri, Haridwar.

Remembering the actor’s final days

Dharmendra breathed his last on November 24, at the age of 89. He had been ailing for a while and was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on November 10 before being discharged to recover at home. His final rites were performed a day later, on November 25, in Mumbai, with his family and colleagues from the film industry in attendance. On November 27, the Deol family organised a memorial service titled Celebration of Life, where several stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rekha, and Aishwarya Rai came to pay their respects. That same day, his wife Hema Malini held a separate prayer meet at her residence in Mumbai in memory of her late husband.

Family and legacy

Veteran actor Dharmendra was first married to Prakash Kaur in 1954, and the couple has four children — Sunny, Bobby, Vijeta, and Ajeeta. Later, he tied the knot with Hema Malini, with whom he has two daughters, Esha and Ahana. Go to Source
