As Muscat gears up for the much anticipated Muscat Nights 2025, the city’s Municipality has announced temporary closures for three major public parks to complete final preparations for the festival. These closures are part of efforts to ensure the venues are fully ready for visitors to enjoy a seamless and vibrant festive experience.

Closure schedule and locations

Muscat Municipality has confirmed that the temporary closures will affect Qurum Natural Park, Al Naseem Public Park, and Al Amerat Public Park. The schedule is as follows:

  • Qurum Natural Park: Closure begins on Thursday, December 4, 2025, allowing preparations for the festival’s opening activities.
  • Al Naseem Public Park and Al Amerat Public Park: Both will close on Sunday, December 7, 2025, to finalize installations and ensure readiness for visitors.

These carefully planned timelines are designed to allow sufficient work to set up the festival infrastructure, including stages, decorations, and event specific installations.

Purpose of the closures

The temporary suspension of public access is aimed at:

  • Completing festival specific installations safely and efficiently.
  • Ensuring that each park is fully prepared to host the diverse activities of Muscat Nights.
  • Creating a festive environment that can be enjoyed safely by all visitors.

Municipality teams are working diligently to coordinate the setup across multiple parks, reflecting the scale and significance of the upcoming festival.

Festival setup

The Municipality has expressed its appreciation for the public’s understanding during this brief disruption. Officials highlighted that the temporary inconvenience is necessary to deliver a memorable festival experience. Residents and visitors can look forward to:

  • A vibrant and lively atmosphere across all three parks.
  • A range of cultural and recreational activities unique to Muscat Nights 2025.
  • Fully prepared and safe venues ready to welcome crowds when the event begins.

Muscat Municipality reassures the public that once the preparation work is complete, the parks will reopen with an exciting lineup of activities, marking the start of the city’s festive season.
