‘Akhanda 2’: Government clears ticket hike

'Akhanda 2': Government clears ticket hike; Balakrishna–Boyapati's film gains early premiere edge

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved a ticket price hike for ‘Akhanda 2’, allowing paid premiere shows on December 4th at Rs. 600 statewide. This move, along with a ten-day price increase for regular screenings, aims to boost theater revenue. The highly anticipated film, reuniting Balakrishna and Boyapati, is poised for a massive opening.

There is already huge anticipation among fans for ‘Akhanda 2’, which will reunite the Nandamuri Balakrishna-Boyapati Srinu alliance. While the production team had announced that paid premiere shows would be held across the country for the film, now, in order to further strengthen that precaution, the Andhra Pradesh government has officially approved the ticket price hike. This is expected to create a huge business environment in theaters during the film’s release week.

Premiere show pricing fixed at Rs 600 statewide

According to the report published by Deccan Chronicle, the ticket price for all screenings from 8 pm to 10 pm for the premiere shows to be held on December 4 has been fixed at Rs. 600, including GST. This will be applicable to all cinema halls across the state at the same price. Also, according to the new GO issued by the government, the ticket price for the film in the first ten days has been set at Rs. 222.50 in single screens and Rs. 277 in multiplexes.

‘Akhanda 2’ bonus early release advantage with additional 10-day hike

The permission to hold premiere shows on the evening of December 4th gives ‘Akhanda 2’ a clear lead and an opportunity for an additional day of collection. Furthermore, an additional price hike of Rs. 75 (including GST) for single screens and Rs. 100 (including GST) for multiplexes will also apply from December 5 to 15. Theater sources believe that this price hike will have a major impact on ticket sales revenue, both in theaters and in theaters.

Record-breaking expectations as Balakrishna–Boyapati combo returns

The success of Akhanda, which was released in 2021 and ran for 100 days, is still fresh in the minds of fans. Commercial expectations for ‘Akhanda 2’, produced by the same team, have reached record highs. Thaman S’s music, Balakrishna’s mass appeal, and Boyapati’s style, all combine to boost the hype. The film stars Samyuktha Menon as the female lead and Aadhi Pinisetty in a pivotal role. Government support, hugely high expectations, and an extensive theatrical release—all point towards ‘Akhanda 2’ registering the biggest opening of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s career. Go to Source
