‘Gustaakh Ishq’ box office collection day 5: Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s film witnesses growth, mints Rs 1.50 crore in total; Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ crosses the Rs 70 crore mark

Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s romance drama ‘Gustaakh Ishq’ premiered in theatres on November 28, 2025. The same day, Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s intense love story ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ was released. While the former has been struggling from day 1 at the box office, the latter from the beginning to date, is enjoying the reigns. This Vibhu Puri’s directorial ‘Gustaakh Ishq’ saw its lowest on its first Monday, but on Tuesday, it saw a growth. For detailed box office information on the movie, read on.

‘Gustaakh Ishq’ box office collection day 5 update

‘Gustaakh Isqh’ made only Rs 13 lakhs on its first Tuesday, day 4, according to early estimates from Sacnilk. These numbers followed the release of this movie, set in the 1990s, which saw a major dip in Monday collections. It made only Rs 7 Lakh on its first weekday. Further, packed with nostalgia and old-world charm, the movie opened with Rs 50 lakh, which went down to Rs 45 lakh on Saturday and Rs 35 lakh on Sunday. With these numbers, the net collection of ‘Gustaakh Ishq’ in the Indian market has reached Rs 1.50 crore. Meanwhile, if we talk about the gross collection, then the movie made Rs. 15 lakh on day 5, taking the tally to Rs. 1.65 crore in the domestic market. This is so far the lowest the movie has made since its debut on November 28, 2025. The film opened with Rs 50 lakhs on Friday and collected Rs 45 lakhs and Rs 35 lakhs on Saturday and Sunday in the domestic market. The total collection of ‘Gustaakh Ishq’ stands at Rs 1.37 crore net. This slight growth can be credited to word of mouth and the increased number of screenings. On Monday, there were 2,401 shows with an overall occupancy of 5.8%. On Tuesday, it went up to 10.8% occupancy across 426 shows.

Competition from ‘Tere Ishq Mein’

Anand L Rai’s ‘Tere Ishq Mein’ also saw a big drop in the number on Monday, yet it outperformed the competition. The film, as we speak, has already crossed the Rs 70 crore mark in the domestic market.

‘Gustaakh Ishq’ review

“Designer Manish Malhotra’s debut film as a producer is gentle, though it could have taken a few more emotional risks. It leaves behind traces of beauty in its poetry, music, and performances, even as the larger narrative slips through the cracks. It earns quiet admiration rather than loud applause. You walk away remembering individual moments more than the whole. And perhaps that restrained, slightly unsatisfying aftertaste is exactly what defines ‘Gustaakh Ishq,’” reads an excerpt from our review of the movie.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
