Another motion was passed to extend the deadline for presenting the Select Committee’s report on the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill 2025, with the Chair declaring the decision in favour of the “Ayes.” Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman rose to introduce a bill to amend the Manipur Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Following this, MP K. Radhakrishnan tabled an explanatory statement in both Hindi and English, detailing the urgent need for legislation through promulgation.
