In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, while talking about the age gap between the lead actor and actress in romantic movies like ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, he said, “I think it’s lovely. I think bahut hi acche tareeke se handle kiya gaya hai (I think it has been handled in a very nice way).”He further shared that such things “can go wrong,” since it’s a “very delicate subject, especially in a country like India, in our culture.”He praised the writers of the film—Luv Rajan and Tarun Tarun Jain—along with director Anshul Sharma, for writing and handling the topic very well. The actor said, “It should not be offensive to anyone; it should be handled with care, and that’s what this film does.” Meezaan stated that they have spoken about the subject beautifully. He further added, “Aise kai log hain jinko main jaanta hoon jinke ek older boyfriend ho, ya older girlfriend ho, ya wife ho. Even my parents have a 6–7 year age gap, so aise kai parents mein 10–15 saal ka gap bhi hota hai (I know a lot of people who have an older boyfriend, girlfriend, or wife. But later, as you mature and reach the age where you’re looking to get married yourself, you come to accept it).”
