‘My American friends compete with foreigners for half their pay’: Nikki Haley’s son doubles down on H1-B row in internet rant

'My American friends compete with foreigners for half their pay': Nikki Haley's son doubles down on H1-B row in internet rant

The Indian-origin MAGA brat Nalin Haley once again stirred row after defending his stance on H‑1B visas and immigration, this time with a little bit of abuse as well. The 24-year-old “America First” kid lashed out to a post by Canadian anti-transgender activist Chris Elston, who had dismissed Haley’s complaints about job competition in US and called him an “emotional toddler.”Elston had written on X, “If you are a young man with an attitude of ‘I did everything I was supposed to do, and look how unfair things are,’ you are an emotional toddler with a woe-is-me attitude and you need to snap out of it. There are many problems with the world AND an abundance of opportunities within it for anyone with the right mindset.”Haley hit back, told Elston that he should “stop being so lazy and stupid.” He claimed that his American friends are competing with foreigners working for half their money,Nalin said that he will not listen to any opinion on the US from someone who is not American. Meanwhile, Nalin’s own grandparents were immigrants who came to the US: “You’re not American so your opinion is invalid. This isn’t about me, I have a good job. This is about my friends and all those in my generation who worked hard to get their degrees in Business, Comp Sci, and Engineering and can’t get jobs cuz they have to compete with foreigners working for half their paycheck and a literal fucking super computer (AI). ” Politically, Nalin has emerged as a loudmouth of the “America First” agenda, calling for a complete ban on H‑1B visas — a position even US President Donald Trump has not endorsed. He also believes naturalised citizens should not hold public office, says dual citizenship is “a stupid idea,” and argues that all legal and illegal immigration should be halted. Haley has repeatedly justified his hardline positions by claiming foreign workers are taking jobs from Americans, bringing in praise from traditional MAGA base.Nalin is the son of former US ambassador and South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, Nalin’s positions are far to the right of his mother, who distanced herself from MAGA politics after the 2024 GOP primary. He has said the differences are normal and reflect generational (GenZ) and ideological divides.
