On the second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chhattisgarh, he attended the 60th DGP-IGP Conference held in the state capital, Raipur. According to sources, the high-level meeting was joined by Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and top officials from police and security agencies. Key issues such as national security, policing reforms, counter-naxal operations, and terror threats were central to today’s discussions. The first day of the conference was inaugurated by Amit Shah, who highlighted the major steps taken by the government to eliminate naxalism and terrorism. He asserted that by the next conference, India will be free from naxalism and extremist movements. The discussions also reviewed how the government has addressed three major hotspots over the last four decades-Left Wing Extremism, insurgency in the Northeast, and terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir claiming that permanent solutions are now being implemented.
