JAMMU: J&K Police Thursday arrested a 19-year-old man, supposedly indoctrinated online by handlers of proscribed terrorist organisations, for allegedly planning to execute a terror-related act. Cops seized several digital devices from him and were examining them.Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect was in regular contact via phone with certain numbers registered in Pakistan and other foreign nations. “The accused, a native of Reasi district, was currently residing in Bathindi area. He was arrested based on credible intelligence inputs after emerging as a key suspect in terror-related activities,” a police spokesperson said, adding that a case was registered in this connection at Bahu Fort PS under BNS Section 113(3) [abetting, attempting, conspiring, or knowingly facilitating the commission of a terrorist act].The spokesperson said the devices seized from the suspect were entered into the investigation records. Sleuths were interrogating him.
