Days after 'no-poaching pact', BJP inducts three more Sena netas

Despite the no-poaching pact agreed upon by BJP and Shiv Sena in the wake of the Sena’s protest against its ally’s induction of its functionaries ahead of local body polls, BJP poached three Sena functionaries – one from Ambernath and two from Sambhajinagar – on Monday. In Ambernath, Shiv Sena vibhag pramukh Roopsingh Dhal, a businessman who is known as a veteran Shiv Sainik and former president of the Jewellers Association, joined BJP. His induction took place in the presence of Maharashtra BJP president Ravindra Chavan, whose actions the Sena has been protesting against to BJP leadership. In Sambhajinagar district, Ananda Dhoke, the presidential candidate of Shiv Sena for Phulambri nagar panchayat switched over to BJP, as did Shilparani Wadkar, the women’s wing head of Sena in Sambhajinagar.BJP’s latest move drew a sharp reaction from Sena cabinet minister and Sambhajinagar district guardian minister Sanjay Shirsat. “BJP has to face consequences if it does not stop poaching our netas. We will take appropriate measures to retaliate,” Shirsat said. BJP minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Tuesday said all the differences within the Mahayuti during the poll campaign will be resolved after the election results on Dec 3.
