Dharmendra delivers an emotional line in new ‘Ikkis’ poster

Dharmendra delivers an emotional and powerful line in new 'Ikkis' poster featuring Agastya Nanda: ‘Yeh mera bada beta, Arun’

The makers of ‘Ikkis’ have unveiled a powerful new poster that puts veteran actor Dharmendra at the heart of the story. Released on Monday, the poster has quickly created buzz for its emotional depth and strong visual appeal. Directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Agastya Nanda and Jaideep Ahlawat, this upcoming war drama appears ready to deliver a story filled with sacrifice, courage and heartfelt memories.

Dharmendra’s emotional poster sets the tone

The latest poster features Dharmendra as Brigadier M.L. Khetarpal, the father of the late Arun Khetarpal. His serious and reflective expression immediately sets the emotional tone of the film. In the voice-over attached to the poster, Dharmendra says, “Yeh mera bada beta, Arun. Yeh humesha ikkis ka hi rahega.”

This touching line captures the essence of the character, a father who carries both pride and pain in his heart. His presence in the poster signals that ‘Ikkis’ will lean strongly into the emotional core of its story.

Film highlights a father’s silent grief

The poster also carries the line “Woh ikkis ka tha, ikkis ka hi rahega,” which emphasises Arun’s young age and the lasting memory of his bravery. The makers use another moving phrase,“A father’s worst nightmare became a nation’s chance to dream again” to strengthen the emotional message. This line reflects the duality of a soldier’s sacrifice: while the nation gains a hero, a father loses a son forever. What is ‘Ikkis’ about’

In ‘Ikkis’, Agastya Nanda plays Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. The father–son connection forms one of the emotional pillars of the film, showing how Arun’s sense of duty was rooted in the values he learnt at home.Alongside Dharmendra and Agastya Nanda, the film also stars Jaideep Ahlawat. His poster offers another glimpse of the strong line-up leading the film. The film is all set to hit cinemas on December 25, 2025.See More: Dharmendra Passes Away: Bollywood’s ‘He-Man’ leaves a huge void in the industry; Hema Malini, Esha Deol and others reach crematorium Go to Source
