Laalo -Krishna Sada Sahaayate becomes highest-grossing 7th weekend of Indian Cinema

Gujarati film ‘Laalo -Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ beating Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ and All Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2- The Rule’ to become highest-grossing 7th weekend of Indian Cinema

Gujarati film ‘Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ has shattered Indian box office records, achieving the highest ever 7th-weekend collection at Rs 9.95 crore. This modest Rs 50 lakh budget production has dramatically outperformed major pan-India blockbusters, showcasing incredible audience connection and organic word-of-mouth. The film’s unprecedented surge highlights its immense staying power and emotional resonance.

Gujarati cinema has witnessed a landmark moment and it has now etched its name into the all-time record books of Indian box office history. Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate, the surprise blockbuster of 2025, has not only topped the year’s seventh-weekend charts but has officially recorded the highest 7th-weekend collection in the history of Indian cinema, surpassing massive pan-India franchises and Bollywood giants by a sensational margin. With its Rs 9.95 crore 7th weekend, Laalo has outperformed iconic films whose seventh-weekend numbers were previously considered untouchable. For context, Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ had collected Rs 5.50 crore, Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ stood at Rs 3.55 crore, Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ at Rs 4.30 crore,Prabhas’s Kalki 2898 AD had minted Rs 3.24 crore while mega-blockbusters like Yash’s ‘KGF 2’ managed Rs 1.2 crore, and even Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ collected just Rs 80 lakh , Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 has clocked in Rs 1.1 crore and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal was able to collect only Rs 70 lakh in the same frame. That a Gujarati film made on a modest Rs 50 lakh budget has outdone some of Indian cinema’s biggest mass entertainers across languages speaks volumes about the power of audience connection and organic word of mouth. The seventh weekend numbers tell the story better than anything else: Rs 1.90 crore on Friday, Rs 3.40 crore on Saturday, and a massive Rs 4.65 crore on Sunday . The 145% surge from Friday to Sunday is not just rare, it is almost unprecedented for a film deep into its seventh week. This remarkable jump showcases the extraordinary staying power Laalo continues to enjoy across Gujarat and expanding national pockets. The climb that led to this historical weekend has been equally dramatic. From a humble Rs 33 lakh in Week 1 and Rs 27 lakh in Week 2, the film exploded due to exceptional word-of-mouth from Week 3 onward. Collections rose to Rs 62 lakh, then skyrocketed in Week 4 to Rs 12.08 crore, followed by a sensational Rs 25.70 crore in Week 5. Week 6 barely dipped, closing at Rs 24.40 crore, proving Laalo’s run is driven entirely by repeat viewership and deep-rooted emotional resonance.Directed by Ankit Sakhiya and starring Karan Joshi, Reeva Rachh, Shruhad Goswami, Anshu Joshi, and Kinnal Nayak, Laalo has now become more than a film—it is a phenomenon rewriting what regional cinema can achieve in India.
