Special Intensive Revision: Akhilesh Yadav Seeks Three-Month Extension for Voter List Revision in UP

In a fresh development related to Sprecial Intensive Revision(SIR) in Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav haa written an official letter to the Election Commission seeking a three-month extension. Yadav stated that large-scale irregularities have been reported in the distribution of forms and the updation of voter lists across multiple constituencies. According to party officials, these issues could compromise the accuracy of the voter list if the revision process is completed in a hurry. The Samajwadi Party has urged the Commission to provide additional time to ensure a fair and transparent exercise. The Election Commission is expected to review the request soon.
