‘120 Bahadur’ cast

The film features Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, along with Raashii Khanna, Vivan Bhatena, Ankit Siwach, Dhanveer Singh, Sahib Verma, Sparsh Walia, Ajinkya Deo, and Eijaz Khan.

Farhan Akhtar hopes the film becomes tax-free

At the ongoing International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Farhan Akhtar expressed his hope that the film may be made tax-free so that more people can watch it. He told PTI, “I do believe that this is a film for every Indian and that every Indian should watch this film to remember the heroes of our past because we tend to forget what happened before us.”He added, “The Battle of Rezang La is not a story that is widely known, so, to learn about Shaitan Singh ji, to learn about the 120 men a hero fought beside him, I really feel that making it tax-free will definitely benefit the story going out far and wide. It would be wonderful if that (tax-free) did happen.”

‘120 Bahadur’ review

The Times of India gave the film 3 out of 5 stars. A part of the review states, “The film offers glimpses into how a community largely associated with farming in the plains adapted to the brutal cold, altitude, and isolation of Rezang La. There is much to discover in 120 Bahadur, yet by the time the end credits roll, you’re left with mixed emotions — moved by the sacrifice, but not as deeply connected to the characters as you wish to be.”The review further adds, “The action stands out as the film’s strongest pillar. The desperate standoffs — snipers, close-range firefights, brawls when ammunition runs out — are gripping. But the storytelling falters in building tension and emotional stakes. The suffocating dread of an inevitable onslaught never fully takes hold, and the immense psychological strain on the soldiers doesn’t land with the impact it should.” Go to Source
