PM Modi@G20: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam our pitch

NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi embarked on a three-day visit to South Africa to attend the G20 summit and said he will present India’s perspective in line with the vision of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and ‘One Earth, One Family and One Future’. In his departure statement, the PM highlighted the significance of the summit, noting that this is the first time it is being held in Africa, after that the African Union was admitted into the G20 during India’s presidency of the grouping in 2023.”The summit will be an opportunity to discuss key global issues. The theme of this year’s G20 has been ‘Solidarity, Equality and Sustainability’, by which South Africa has carried forward the outcomes from the previous summits held in New Delhi, India, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I will present India’s perspective at the smmit in line with our vision of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and ‘One Earth, One Family and One Future’,” the PM said.Modi will be interacting with leaders of partner countries and also the Indian diaspora, which is among the largest in South Africa. G20 members include major economies, representing 85% of global GDP, 75% of international trade, and two-thirds of the world’s population.
