Baba Siddique case: Gangster Anmol Bishnoi deported from US, lands in Delhi

Fugitive gangster Anmol Bishnoi, accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, arrived at Delhi’s IGI Airport after being deported from the United States. NIA has sought Bishnoi’s 15-day custody.On the run since 2022, Anmol is the 19th person arrested in connection with the Bishnoi-led terror syndicate. He was chargesheeted by the NIA in March 2023, which found that he had assisted designated terrorist Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi in carrying out multiple acts of terror in India between 2020 and 2023. Delhi blast probe: Al-Falah University ‘duped’ students of Rs 415 crore

According to ED sources, the Al-Falah Trust allegedly diverted crores of rupees to entities connected to the chairman’s family, awarding construction and catering contracts to companies owned by Jawad Siddiqui’s wife and children. On Tuesday, the Enforcement Directorate arrested Siddiqui, who heads the Al-Falah group — the organisation that operates the Faridabad hospital where the Red Fort car blast suicide bomber and other suspects had been employed. 272 eminent citizens pen letter against Rahul Gandhi; accuse Congress of making unsubstantiated claims regarding EC

A collective of 272 prominent individuals, among them 16 judges, 123 former bureaucrats, 14 ex-ambassadors and 133 retired military officers, released an open letter alleging that opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party are attempting to undermine public confidence in the Election Commission and other constitutional bodies.”Assault on National Constitutional Authorities,” alleged that opposition leaders were attempting to manufacture a sense of institutional breakdown through what it described as “venomous rhetoric” and “provocative but unsubstantiated accusations.” Read full story

Nitish chosen leader of JD(U) legislature party; NDA set to form government on Nov 20 in Bihar

JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar was chosen as the leader of the party’s legislature group during a meeting of newly elected MLAs in Patna. In the BJP camp, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Sinha were selected as the leader and deputy leader of the BJP legislature party, respectively. On Tuesday, JD(U) and NDA leaders held extensive discussions, with Union home minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda meeting JD(U) working president Sanjay Jha and Lalan Singh, who represent the party in the Modi cabinet. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell brought Rohit Sharma’s reign atop the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings to an end, becoming only the second Kiwi ever to reach No. 1.
