Shriya Saran publicly exposes imposter contacting people using her name

Shriya Saran publicly exposes imposter contacting people using her name and fake number: ‘Go get a life’

Shriya Saran is not holding back. The actor took to social media today, Wednesday to call out an unknown individual who has been impersonating her and contacting people using a fake number. Upset and concerned, Shriya publicly exposed the imposter in an effort to warn fans and industry colleagues.

Shriya Saran calls out the impersonator on Instagram

Shriya shared a screenshot on her Instagram showing the number used to mislead people. The impersonator even used her picture as the display photo to appear more believable.Expressing her frustration, she wrote, “Who ever this idiot is. Please stop writing to people and wasting time! Unfortunately this is weird. I feel bad for wasting people time.”The actor explained that the situation felt even more alarming because the fake account had been contacting individuals she admires and would love to collaborate with. Addressing the impersonator directly, she added, “This is not me! Not my number! On a lighter note the only good thing is, this crapy person is reaching out to people I admire and would love to work with! Very strange! Why would you waste your time to do this? Go get a life, not someone’s impersonator.”

Fans show support and advise legal action

Shriya also issued a separate warning on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Scam alert… Fake. Getting calls from friends that someone is trying to impersonate me. Kindly stay away from this fake number for any communications, work booking, strictly no payments.”The actor’s post sparked concern among fans, who quickly filled the comments with messages of support. One user wrote, “Really sorry you’re having to deal with something this stressful, Shriya Ma’am… no impersonator can ever come close to the warmth, dignity and smile you’re known for. More strength to you.”Another urged her to escalate the matter legally. “Madam, please share this number with cyber crime or lodge a complaint. They will take care of it.”
