Jagdeep Dhankhar meets C P Radhakrishnan, but no pics or statement from VP's office

NEW DELHI: Former vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday met his successor C P Radhakrishnan, marking his first formal interaction with the vice president. No official statement or photograph related to the meeting was issued by the VP’s office, with sources calling it a “courtesy meeting”.Dhankhar had last met Radhakrishnan at the latter’s swearing-in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Sept.Dhankhar had quit as VP on July 21, the first day of the monsoon session, citing health reasons. His sudden resignation led to an election to the post. The winter session of Parliament begins on Dec 1. Dhankhar was the first occupant of the swanky Vice President’s Enclave. Earlier, vice presidents used to stay at Upa-Rashtrapati Nivas on Maulana Azad Road. Around two years ago, the Vice President’s Enclave, spread over 13 acres, became the new official residence of the VP.Having vacated the enclave following his resignation, Dhankhar is currently living in a private residence in Chhattarpur area as he awaits allotment of retirement accommodation by govt. tnn
