Farhan Akhtar reveals war film ‘120 Bahadur’ left dad Javed Akhtar teary-eyed

Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘120 Bahadur’ releases on November 21. The actor shared that his father Javed Akhtar was moved to tears after watching it, calling the experience emotional for the team. Zoya Akhtar will watch it on November 19. Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the film depicts the Battle of Rezang La.

‘120 Bahadur’ is set to release in theatres on November 21. Ahead of its release, actor Farhan Akhtar, director Razneesh Ghai, and producer Ritesh Sidhwani recently spilled the beans about working on the project. During the conversation, Farhan also shared his father Javed Akhtar’s views on the film.

Javed Akhtar moved to tears

Responding to a question about his father’s reaction to the trailer, Farhan mentioned that the renowned writer and lyricist had already seen the film and said, “He loved it.”Farhan went on to add, “He’s seen the film. He’s seen the film in an edit as well. He was very moved. He’s not somebody who cries very easily when he’s watching a film. But he was very, very teary and very, very choked up at the end. So we really felt like we’ve managed to do something.”

He also said that such an emotional response from his father meant a lot to the entire team.

Zoya Akhtar yet to watch the film

Talking about his family’s reaction, Farhan revealed that his sister, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, is yet to watch the film and said that she would do so on (November) 19th with the rest of the film industry.

About ‘120 Bahadur’

Set against the backdrop of the historic Battle of Rezang La, ‘120 Bahadur’ brings together a stellar cast featuring Raashii Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Vivan Bhatena, Dhanveer Singh, Digvijay Pratap, Sahib Verma, Ankit Siwach, Devendra Ahirwar, Ashutosh Shukla, Brijesh Karanwal, Atul Singh, Ajinkya Deo and Eijaz Khan.
