'Attack on RJD’s soul': Tej Pratap flags ‘pressure’ on Lalu, Rabri; makes plea to PM Modi, Shah

NEW DELHI: Janshakti Janta Dal founder Tej Pratap Yadav on Tuesday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah to investigate allegations of “mental and physical pressure” on his parents, RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad and former chief minister Rabri Devi. Calling it an attack on the “very soul” of RJD, Tej Pratap alleged that “certain traitors” are destroying both the “family and the organisation” in an apparent reference to Sanjay Yadav, Rameez Nemat Khan, both aides of Tejashwi Yadav.”It is being said that some people, Jaichands, are making attempts to keep my parents Lalu Prasad ji and my mother under mental and physical pressure. If there is even a shred of truth in this, then this is not just an attack on my family, it is a direct blow to the very soul of the RJD,” Tej Pratap wrote in a social media post shared from his Janshakti Janta Dal’s account. “I request the PM, Amit Shah ji, and the Bihar government that an impartial, strict, and immediate investigation be conducted in the matter,” the post further added. His appeal came amid a spiralling family crisis triggered by sweeping accusations from Lalu’s daughter, Rohini Acharya, who recently severed ties with the family. Also read: Rohini attacks Tejashwi’s ‘dirty kidney’ remarkOn Sunday, Rohini alleged she had been “sworn at” and accused of seeking “crores of rupees and a party ticket” in return for the “filthy kidney” she donated to her ailing father. Defending his sister Tej Pratap also called for action against those accused of misbehaviour against his sister Rohini Acharya naming Sanjay Yadav, Rameez Nemat Khan and Pritam Yadav.

Lalu Yadav's family tree

“If anyone has misbehaved, pushed or manhandled, hurled filthy abuses, or inflicted mental/physical harassment on my sister, my mother, or my father, then people such as Sanjay Yadav, Rameez Nemat Khan and Pritam Yadav must immediately be booked and FIRs should be registered against them,” he wrote. The dramatic fallout began after Rohini Acharya alleged she had been “sworn at” and accused of giving her “filthy (gandi) kidney” to her father in exchange for “crores of rupees and a party ticket”. She claimed she had been “driven out” of her parents’ home by associates of Tejashwi Yadav following the RJD’s poor showing in the Bihar assembly polls.Rohini, who donated a kidney to Lalu Prasad a few years ago and unsuccessfully contested the Saran Lok Sabha seat last year, expressed anguish over being accused of exploiting her medical sacrifice. In an emotional post, she said she had acted “without caring for the approval of my husband and my in-laws or for the well-being of my three children”. Go to Source
