Vivek would clean rehearsal rooms while assisting Farah

Vivek Oberoi would clean rehearsal rooms and bring tea to dancers while assisting Farah Khan: ‘I never told anybody who my dad was’

Vivek Oberoi may be a popular actor today, but his path to success began long before his acting debut in 2002. Even though he is the son of veteran star Suresh Oberoi, the ‘Company’ actor chose not to depend on his family name. Instead, he started from the lowest step, doing tasks many aspiring actors would never expect.

Vive Oberoi cleaned rehearsal rooms

In a recent chat with Mashable India, he opened up about the time he worked as an assistant to choreographer and director Farah Khan. Before facing the camera, he spent days cleaning practice spaces and serving tea to dancers. He said, “To train, I used to assist Farah for a long time. I started by cleaning the rehearsal rooms and bringing tea to all the dancers, and from there I went up. I never told anybody who my dad was. I kept that out.”

Vive Oberoi recalls a fun prank

Today, Vivek is back in the spotlight as he promotes his upcoming film ‘Mastiii 4’, which releases in cinemas next week. While talking about the new film, he also shared a funny memory from the shooting days of Masti. He recalled how he and the rest of the cast played a big prank on Aftab Shivdasani, who had just bought a new Mercedes at that time.He shared, “Aftab had bought his new Mercedes when we were shooting for Masti, aur hum logo ne bakra kiya tha iska. We stole his car keys and parked it somewhere else, two lanes behind where Aftab had parked it. Then we quietly kept the key near Aftab, and when he came out… His expressions… his blood pressure just dropped. He told us not to prank him with his car.”
