The investigation into the Delhi Red Fort blast has taken a grim turn as human remains continue to surface near the blast site. Delhi Police confirmed that a body part was recovered from Lajpat Rai Market, located close to the explosion area. Forensic teams (FSL) have been alerted, and the remains have been sent for detailed examination. The intensity of Monday evening’s blast was so severe that body fragments were found scattered across several hundred meters, painting a chilling picture of the devastation. Investigators are now correlating these findings with forensic reports to establish the exact sequence of the explosion. In a parallel development, sources have confirmed a major breakthrough DNA testing has conclusively proved that the car bomber was Dr. Umar Nabi, the prime suspect behind the attack. Samples from Umar’s mother and brother matched the remains found inside the burnt Hyundai i20, confirming that the terrorist himself perished in the explosion. Officials say Umar had driven the explosive-laden car from Turkman Gate to the Red Fort’s Sunehri Masjid parking, where he waited for hours before detonating it. The NIA continues to widen its probe, tracing his network and other suspects linked to the wider white-collar terror module.
