Delhi Blast: 9 Dead in Red Fort Metro Station Explosion, America Expresses Concern and Condolences

A massive bomb blast near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station has left the national capital in deep shock and tension. The explosion, which occurred around 6:50 pm, resulted in nine casualties and injured several others. The i20 car that exploded was reportedly registered to Umar Trikh from Pulwama, raising questions about possible terror links. Authorities swiftly transported all nine bodies to LNJP Hospital for post-mortem; identification is still underway as some bodies were severely damaged. Following the incident, Delhi and several states including Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra were placed on high alert. Security was tightened across metro stations, bus terminals, and crowded public areas. The United States has reacted to the tragedy, expressing condolences and prayers for the victims’ families. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the blast has any connection with the 300 kg of chemical seized recently in Faridabad or with suspected activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
