The investigation into the Red Fort car blast has revealed a key breakthrough as police traced the movement of the white i20 that exploded near the historic monument. According to Delhi Police sources, the car entered Delhi through the Badarpur border, the gateway from Faridabad at 3:18 PM. This crucial timestamp has linked the vehicle’s route directly to Faridabad, where the car was reportedly sold from the Royal Car Zone to a Pulwama resident named Umar Tareq. Investigators are now analyzing CCTV footage from the Badarpur highway and adjoining checkpoints to determine whether the car traveled from Faridabad before entering Delhi. The vehicle reportedly remained parked near Red Fort for nearly three hours before the explosion. Forensic teams (FSL) and Delhi Police’s Special Cell are examining every frame of the footage to trace the car’s path and identify its driver, believed to be the suspect seen alone in the vehicle. Eyewitnesses like Harinder, a laborer injured during the blast, have described multiple explosions occurring near a temple close to Chandni Chowk.
