Ankit Sakhiya’s ‘Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ mints Rs 13.9 crore over 5th weekend outperforms the film’s entire run till now

In a surprising turn for Indian cinema, Gujarati film ‘Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate’ is defying expectations, now in its fifth weekend. This low-budget drama, initially met with a lukewarm response, has seen an extraordinary surge, collecting over Rs 27 crore. Its phenomenal success highlights a growing audience appetite for diverse regional content.

The year 2025 has been full of surprises who would have thought that films with newcomers will earn more than well established superstars and sequels but Saiyaara did that. Who would have thought that Indian animation can pull in the audience but Mahavatar Narsimha did that and now a Gujarati film well into its 5th weekend is shaking things up for not only Gujarati cinema but also Indian Cinema. Ankit Sakhiya directed Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate starring Shruhad Goswami tells the story of faith in the most dramatic and unusual way seen in Gujarati cinema. The film which was made on a budget of just Rs 50 lakh had opened to lukewarm response with Week 1 collection coming in at just Rs 21 Lakh, Week 2 was Rs 24 lakh, Week 3 was Rs 43 lakh by now the film should have been out of theaters but this is where cinema gods smiled at the film and in its fourth week the film saw 2765 % jump to collect Rs 12.32 crore as per Sacnilk. And the magic of the film didn’t stop there , on its 5th Friday the film collected Rs2.25 crore and on Saturday the film saw 106 % jump to collect Rs 4.65 crore and on Sunday it became the first ever Gujarati film to collect Rs 7 crore.And with that the total weekend collection of the film reached Rs 13.9 crore mark and total collection of the film stands at Rs 27.10 crore. In the 5th weekend, the film outperformed all the 4 weeks it has stayed at the ticket window. The year has been full of delights for Gujarati cinema as many varied films are being explored and accepted by the audience. The year already saw a horror thriller with Vash Level 2 starring Janki Bodiwala and Hitu Kanoda and it also saw Yash Soni’s Chaniya Toli, a comedy heist film. The journey for Laalo-Krishna Sada Sahaayate is far from over, the film also stars Karan Joshi and Reeva Rachh
