PATNA: Opposition CM face Tejashwi Yadav of RJD marked his birthday with cake-cutting and a silver crown at a rally Sunday. Later, he released a video alleging Union minister Amit Shah has plotted to disturb voting in the final phase on November 11. “Change is certain in Bihar, but Shah is calling officials and issuing instructions for disturbing voting,” Tejashwi alleged. He claimed calls had gone out to officials from CM house with directives to “disturb polling booths having a majority of INDIA bloc voters and detain opposition members on polling day”. He alleged CM house was now engaged in “booth management” while Shah was camping in Bihar in the “garb” of campaigning. “Officials are even sending us screenshots of the calls they are receiving,” he said, urging “honest officers” to fulfil constitutional duties “without yielding to pressure”. He alleged “two Gujaratis want to take control of Bihar by hook or by crook” and “turn it into their colony”, adding people were ready to stop “vote theft” and “robbery of democracy”. Tejashwi said that he addressed 16 meetings on his birthday seeking “blessings in the form of votes”.
