'I have been given nothing': Elon Musk slams Democrat senator questioning his $1 trillion package; 'You are...'

Elon Musk slammed a Democrat senator for questioning his $1 trillion package.

Elon Musk shut down Democrat Senator Roland Gutierrez who attempted to guilt-trip Musk about getting a $1 trillion package “on the backs of American taxpayers” while people are struggling to pay for groceries. Musk called Roland a ‘taker’ with a ‘zero-sum mindset’ and called it the root of evil. Tesla shareholders have approved a pay package for Musk with over 75 per cent support, which could make Elon Musk the first trillionaire. To get this, Musk has to lift Tesla’s market value to $8.5 trillion. Musk also has to deliver 20 million Tesla electric vehicles to the market over 10 years amid new, stiff competition, more than double the number since the founding of the company. He also has to deploy 1 million of his human-like robots that he has promised will transform work and home — he calls it a “robot army” — from zero today.Musk’s win came despite opposition from several large funds, including CalPERS, the biggest US public pension, and Norway’s sovereign wealth fund. Two corporate watchdogs, Institutional Shareholder Services and Glass Lewis, also blasted the package, which so angered Musk he took to calling them “corporate terrorists” at a recent investor meeting. Musk’s post slamming Gutierrez was also Musk’s first statement on possibly becoming the world’s first trillionaire. “Regarding Tesla, the reality is that I have been given nothing. However, if I lead Tesla to become the most valuable company in the world by far and it stays that way for 5 years, shareholders voted to award me 12% of what is built. Anyone who wants to come along for the ride can buy Tesla stock,” Musk explained. “If Tesla ‘merely’ becomes a $1.999 trillion dollar company, I get nothing. This is a great deal for shareholders, which is why they voted so overwhelmingly to approve this, for which I am immensely grateful,” Musk said. “And they did so by a margin far more than you won your political seat,” Musk added.
