As polling continues across Bihar, voter enthusiasm remains high in key constituencies such as Mukama, Digha, and Khagaria. In the politically charged Mukama seat, voters are turning out in large numbers for what is being called one of the most high-profile contests, a face-off between two powerful local figures, RJD’s Veena Devi, wife of strongman Suraj Bhan Singh, and JDU-backed Anant Singh, currently in jail. Many voters at the Rajkiya Mat Vidyalaya emphasized development and employment as their key issues. In Digha, minor confusion arose when some women voters were initially denied entry for not carrying physical voter slips. However, after ABP News highlighted the issue, the Election Commission intervened, clarifying that digital voter slips are valid, and voting resumed smoothly. Meanwhile, in Khagaria’s Alouli constituency the native village of late Ram Vilas Paswan and Chirag Paswan, a strong turnout was seen early in the morning. The most heartwarming moment came when a 100-year-old man arrived at the polling booth to cast his vote, symbolizing the spirit of democracy. Across districts, security arrangements have been tightened, and voters continue to participate actively, reaffirming faith in the democratic process.
