Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has levelled serious allegations of large-scale voter fraud in Haryana, claiming that over 25 lakh fake votes were included in the state’s electoral rolls. Speaking during an interaction session, Gandhi presented what he called “proof” of duplicate voter entries and repeated photographs in the official polling lists.According to Gandhi, Haryana has nearly two crore registered voters, and the alleged voter duplication accounts for around 12.5 percent of them. He displayed voter lists that, he said, showed the same person’s photograph appearing multiple times under different names, ages, and addresses. “One woman’s photo appears 223 times in just two polling booths,” Gandhi said, adding that this manipulation was allegedly carried out to “create space” for external voters to cast votes in the BJP’s favour. He further stated that despite these irregularities, the Congress lost the election by only around 22,000 votes. Gandhi demanded that the Election Commission of India investigate the alleged voter duplication immediately and ensure transparency in future elections. The Election Commission has not yet issued an official response to these allegations.
