When Celina spoke about losing her father and son back to back

When Celina Jaitly spoke about the 'tumultous' time of losing her father and her son Shamsher Haag: 'Too painful to talk about'

Actress Celina Jaitly has been in the news as she has filed a plea in the Delhi High Court for her brother who has been detained in UAE since September last year. Celina’s brother retired Major Vikrant Jaitley, has been in detention in the United Arab Emirates for more than 14 months. Amidst this, here’s recalling the time when the actress went through the toughest phases of her life in 2017, when she gave birth to twins — a boy and a girl, but tragically lost one of them soon after. The same year, she also lost her father, who had been battling a prolonged illness.Speaking to IANS at the time, Celina had shared, “It’s all just so difficult to deal with… I’ve been trying to keep it together since papa passed away.”In a heartfelt Facebook post, the actress described the moment as “bittersweet.” She wrote, “The Gods above have blessed us yet again with another set of very handsome twin boys ‘Arthur Jaitly Haag’ and ‘Shamsher Jaitly Haag’ in Dubai on 10th September 2017. However, life is not always how we plan it to be. Our son ‘Shamsher Jaitly Haag’ succumbed to a serious heart condition and could not continue his journey in this world. ”In her conversation with IANS, she had added, “After all that we have been through, all I can say is we have immense gratitude that the universe didn’t leave our arms empty. It’s just too painful to talk about.”Celina, who married hotelier Peter Haag in 2011, was already a mother to twin boys, Viraaj Haag and Winston Haag, born in 2012. Reflecting on the emotional months she had faced, she had written, “The last two months have been a tumultuous journey for us from losing my beloved father and now baby Shamsher, however there is always a light at the end of a tunnel, and that light for us is our handsome son ‘Arthur Jaitly Haag’ who seeks your blessings and love in his journey that he commences in this world. We thank you all in advance for your love and continued support.”Based in Dubai at the time, Celina had managed to reach Indore just in time for her father’s last rites. She later expressed her deep regret, saying, “I couldn’t reach in time to hear his voice one last time. That’s a regret and guilt I’ll live with all my life.”Celina Jaitly, a former beauty queen, made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with ‘Janasheen’. She went on to appear in several popular films including ‘No Entry’, ‘Apna Sapna Money Money’, ‘Money Hai Toh Honey Hai’, ‘Golmaal Returns’, ‘Paying Guests’ and ‘Thank You’.
