Australia is changing how big streaming platforms work in the country. Screen Producers Australia (SPA), a major industry group, said this change is “an enormously important moment” because it finally makes big streaming companies give back to Australia. SPA’s CEO Matthew Deaner said, “For too long, these companies made money in Australia without giving enough back.
