As Shah Rukh Khan turned 60, he marked the occasion with his annual fan meet in Mumbai to celebrate ‘SRK Day’. During the event, where he cut a cake and interacted with fans, the superstar also answered questions — including one about giving career advice to his children, Aryan and Suhana, who are both in showbiz.
Shah Rukh on giving advice to his kids
During the fan meet, when asked about the advice he gives Aryan, Shah Rukh said, “I don’t tell them much, because I think there is not much need to tell anything to creative people. I have been working in films for 35 years, so I know I come with a big baggage. ‘Arre yaar, papa ki to sunni padegi kyunki who Shah Rukh Khan hain.’ I don’t want them to have that baggage.”
‘They do it themselves,’ says SRK
The superstar added, “With Suhana in acting, and Aryan in writing and direction, they do it themselves. And when they need, they ask me how something is looking. And I tell them a point of view. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes bad. But I tell them tum wohi karo jo tumhe karna hai (You do what you want to do).”
Suhana and Aryan’s career beginnings
Suhana Khan made her acting debut in 2024 with The Archies, Zoya Akhtar’s adaptation of the popular comic series, while Aryan Khan made his debut as a writer-director with webseries The Ba***ds of Bollywood earlier this year.Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s King. It also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji and others.
